Location
Jinzhou agricultural ecosystem research station is located in Yingtun county of Taihe district, Jinzhou, Liaoning province, its geographical location is 41°09′13.00"N and 121°10′26.00"E, was owned by Institute of Atmospheric Environment, China Meteorological Administration (CMA), Shenyang. The geographical location of flux tower is 41°8′53.00"N, 121°12′6.00"E, with 23.3m altitude. The station represents a typical temperate spring maize agricultural ecological region.
Climatic
Jinzhou agricultural ecosystem research station belongs to temperate monsoon climate. Annual average temperature is 9.1℃. Mean annual precipitation is 568.8 mm, the extremes highest and lowest temperature is 41.8℃ and -31.3℃, respectively. Annual frost-free season is 140-160 days.
Vegetation and soil
The vegetation of study area and under flux tower is maize agricultural, which canopy is variation from 0 to 3.2 with the different growth stage. The soil is type brown soil. The organic matter content in soil is 0.6%-0.9%. The nitrogen content is 0.069%. The soil gravel content is 2.6-4.2%, soil thickness is more than 1 meter.
Observation system
The equipment of the flux observation system composed of CSAT3 three-dimensional sonic anemometer (Campbell, USA) and Li7500 CO2/H2O infrared gas analyzer (Li-cor, USA). The height of the flux tower is 16m, three-dimensional sonic anemometer and infrared analyzer installation height is 5m, the height of the Meteorological gradient tower is 6m. The mount height of Wind, temperature and humidity sensors is 4m and 6m. The mount height of four component/photosynthetic active radiation sensors is 4.5m. The installation depth of soil temperature sensor is 5 cm、10 cm、15 cm、20 cm、40 cm and 80 cm. The installation depth of soil water content sensor is 10cm、20cm、30cm and 40cm. The installation depth of soil heat flux plate is 8cm.
Flux data sampling frequency is 10 Hz, the average time of flux is 30 min, meteorological data sampling frequency is 1 min., the average time is 30min. The flux was observed since May 25, 2004.
