厦门大学学士(1983)、硕士(1986);美国迈阿密大学(University of Miami)博士(1992),犹他大学(University of Utah)博士后(1992-1994)
工作经历:
曾任厦门大学环境科学研究所助教(1986-1988)、美国空间生物圈公司(Space Biosphere Ventures)研究员(1994-1996)、美国哥伦比亚大学地球研究所(Earth Institute)副研究员(1996-2003)及卡内基华盛顿研究所全球生态学研究室(Department of Global Ecology, Carnegie Institution of Washington)客座研究员(Stanford University校园内)(2004-2005)。2003年底回国任中国科学院植物研究所研究员、中国科学院研究生院教授。
